And it Begins... Sort of
I spoke with Fr. Roger again today about going to see Bishop Benfield about starting the official discernment process. His answer? We're forming a pre-discernment committee to meet a couple times before approaching the Bishop. More red tape. Well, nothing worth doing is done quickly, I guess. It is frustrating. I mean I've spent the last 18 months working on the degree to get to this point. Well, if I can get my 4 year degree in 18 months while holding down a full time job and with a wife and two babies at home I think I can make it to the next step.

Bishop Benfield, nor anyone else, will stop such passion and truth...roadblocks are interesting (around here they are set up to intimidate people into paying bribe money because they may be improperly documented...certainly not your case).
I am sure you will accept and find just the right place for ministry. It may not be where you think it is, right now.
Similar words were spoken to me by my Bishop, Jack Spong, and he was so right.
Prayers ascend.
I have read that "the more narrow the gate, the smaller the God" -- drat TEC for buying into that.
