Gwen sent me an update on her daughter this morning. Thank you again for all your prayers...
Just a quick update. My daughter is home now and doing as good as can be expected. She may have to have another blood transfusion. We will know for sure on Wednesday when she goes back to the Surgeon again. She is very depressed and the Surgeon said it will take her at least 6 weeks to recover from this and build back her blood volume. He told us that she died twice in surgery and they brought her back. Words cannot express my feelings through all of this and I just want to thank all of you for your prayers.
I truly feel in my heart that prayer is what saved her. To all of you who called me and I was not able to call you back, I apologize. I have hardly had time to go to the bathroom since this started. I appreciate your words of comfort and I love you. I am so blessed to still have my daughter to love. God bless all of you.
From the Book of Common Prayer:
O Lord, your compassions never fail and your mercies are new every morning: We give you thanks for giving our sister Mandy both relief from pain and hope of health renewed. Continue in her, we pray, the good work you have begun; that she, daily increasing in bodily strength, and rejoicing in your goodness, may so order her life and conduct that she may always think and do those things that please you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Thanks be to God!
