Les Paul passed away today from pneumonia. Among his claims to fame is the Gibson electric guitar that bears his name. A pearl white version with golden hardware, dual humbuckers and a Peavy amp were loaned to me by a friend while I was in college many moons ago. As the song says, it helped me make it through some lonely nights. The action on it was low and the sound was unbelievable, even with these untrained hands. That was hands down the sweetest electric I have ever played.
